Sherwood Park Primary School's Governing Body
A Message From The Chair of Governors
I am writing to introduce myself as the Chair of the Governing Body at Sherwood Park Primary School. I have had a long and proud association with the school, with two of my children having already attended and one still enjoying their time here. My connection to the school began as a parent governor several years ago, and it has been a privilege to serve on the governing body before taking on the position of Chair.
My professional background is in business and construction management. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction and an MBA, and I currently run several successful businesses. I hope to use this experience to bring a strong strategic and practical perspective to the governing body, ensuring that the school continues to be well-supported in achieving its goals.
Together with my fellow governors, I am committed to providing both support and constructive challenge to Miss Trayers and her dedicated team, as we work to ensure that every child at Sherwood Park receives the best possible start in life. The school continues to go from strength to strength, and I am confident that its tradition of nurturing confident, happy, and well-rounded pupils will continue.
The Governing Body visits the school regularly throughout the year. These visits allow us to see the school in action, speak with staff and pupils, and gain first-hand insight into the excellent work taking place. We also value opportunities to meet parents and carers — your views and experiences are vital in helping us to understand how we can best serve the school community.
If you ever wish to contact me, please do so via the school office, and any communication will be passed to me in confidence where appropriate.
It is a privilege to serve as Chair of Governors and to contribute to the ongoing success of such a special school. On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to thank you for your continued support and invite any feedback or suggestions about how we can continue to strengthen our school community.
Yours sincerely
Kyle McGimpsey
