Subject Leader Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact Overview-Forest School
‘Every child has an enquiring mind about the world and their place in it.'
Spending time in the natural environment of the Forest School at Sherwood Park contributes to the life-long learning of children at Sherwood Park. It promotes healthier lifestyles and allows children to build curiosity in observing the wonder of the ever changing systems of nature. Activities and challenges are planned which build children’s self-esteem and help them become confident risk takers and problem solvers. Forest School is accessible to all children who thrive in this learning environment and respond imaginatively and with enquiring minds to the world around them. Opportunities are provided for children to think creatively, imaginatively, mathematically and scientifically in a natural setting.
